Acquisition Day! A new community hub of the future.

We were there before "the uprising."

In the spring of 2015, the Executive Director, and Founder of UE,  consulted with Penn-North Community Association's President (Ms. Annie Hall, a life long resident) to determine if this historic neighborhood would benefit from UE's violence prevention after school programs.

That would be a "yes" from Ms. Hall. Throughout the years, UE's  out of school time programs and activities have consistently provided  well structured, no cost to parents activities for this well deserved and under-invested community. Our students have received paid internships, new career paths opportunities, free summer camps, recipient of  the City of Baltimore's "Change Maker" award for contributions  for promoting non-violence, civic engagement events with the Mayor's Office, raising funds to provide medical services and equipment to the children of Burundi, Africa, volunteering at HBCU (Coppin State University) "Shirts vs Skins" Basketball Tournament, private tours with some of Baltimore's iconic institutions, and community service activities.   For the past three years,  Fulton Baptist Church, Pratt Library and Coppin State University facilitated our programs. Presently, we are excited to have the opportunity of building a permanent home that will accommodate the goals, mission and vision of UE.  The picture above depicts August 17, 2018. A day UE purchased three vacant lots that have been a blight to the Penn-North Community.  We will eradicate the blight with a new center that will bring new jobs, a safe place for the children to gather when they are out of school.  UE has made new friends, cultivated sustainable relationships, collaborated with stakeholders, built a trust among  the parents, community leaders and private sector. Our students  speak for us. We invite you to visit our photo gallery and meet our kids. We also invite you to help us attain our  capital improvement project's completion: Our corner stone is our sincere love of community. Unified Efforts, Inc. is a nonprofit organization, donations to which are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Check with your financial adviser for creative giving. We thank you! Together we can assist the children and make a positive impact on an entire community .
